It’s truly a bittersweet moment for me: On December 31, I’ll be stepping down as CEO of the US-China Strong Foundation to take on a new and exciting opportunity in Washington, D.C. US-China Strong is in an incredible place and entering into its next chapter of growth and expansion. While I will no longer be CEO, I will aid in the search for a successor and continue my strong and unwavering support for US-China Strong and its goal of strengthening US-China relations.
It’s been an absolutely incredible journey, growing what began as a State Department initiative into a global nonprofit, and through our rebrand from 100,000 Strong to US-China Strong. It’s an experience I’ll never forget and will count as one of the most exceptional of my career.

We’ve done amazing things – from surpassing our initial 100,000 Strong goal to launching our 1 Million Strong initiative – and I couldn’t be prouder. And my dear friend George Lee, the Chairman of our Board, will lead the Board’s CEO Search Committee while my colleagues Travis Tanner, President, Morgan Jones, COO, and Avonda Fogan, Special Assistant, will continue to propel the Foundation forward.
If you have any questions about our succession plan or the search process, please do not hesitate to reach out – we’ve never valued your support more. This is an exciting time of growth for US-China Strong and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.
Thanks, as always, for your support.
