We’re honored to announce that the 100,000 Strong Foundation has been named a philanthropic partner of The Asia Group Foundation, an effort by The Asia Group (TAG) to support high-impact nonprofit organizations. The TAG Foundation’s launch, held on March 9, 2016, in Washington, DC, brought together more than 400 professionals in the Asia business and policy community to highlight the efforts of TAG’s philanthropic partners.
Kurt Campbell, Chairman and CEO of TAG and TAG Foundation board member, is a long-time supporter of 100K Strong. “I have had the pleasure of witnessing the remarkable growth of 100K Strong since its inception as a government initiative launched by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to its current position as a non-profit that serves as the most important public diplomacy effort in the US-China relationship,” said Kurt. “The US and China need more organizations like 100K Strong that foster deeper understanding between the future leaders of our two countries, and I encourage stakeholders in The Asia Group network to support this remarkable foundation.”
In addition to allocating funds to high-impact nonprofits, TAG Foundation will also provide advisory services and support pro-bono projects. Other nonprofits supported by the Foundation include Build a School in Burma, Consuelo Foundation, Care Vietnam, TIGHAR: The Earhart Project, District of Columbia Urban Debate League and Running Start.
With support from TAG Foundation and all of our partners, we will continue to increase the number and diversity of students engaged in US-China relations.
Thanks, as always, for your support.
