It’s been an exciting few weeks for the 100,000 Strong Foundation with many developments to report.
On Oct. 18 we announced a new strategic partnership with WorldStrides, the largest and most respected educational travel organization in the United States, which helps 300,000 students travel each year to destinations in more than 85 countries. WorldStrides’ work is a natural complement to the mission of 100,000 Strong; together we will encourage more students to study in China, learn Mandarin and gain a greater understanding of the importance of the US-China strategic relationship.
As part of this new relationship, the 100,000 Strong Foundation will take an active role in the 2014 US-China Student Summit in Beijing, which WorldStrides China is organizing. The summit will be the first of many opportunities for our two organizations to work together. We are thrilled to be partnering with WorldStrides.
Meanwhile, we are getting ready for our first Annual Conference at American University on Nov. 21. We are honored to be joined by Secretary of State John Kerry, Chinese Vice-Premier Liu Yandong and numerous other high-ranking governmental officials and business executives at this invitation-only event. There will be much more information about the annual conference forthcoming!
Thanks, as always, for your support,
