Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in one of her final acts at the State Department, today announced the launch of the 100,000 Strong Foundation, a new nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the US-China relationship through study abroad.
The 100,000 Strong Foundation is an outgrowth of a wildly successful initiative Secretary Clinton started in 2010. The 100,000 Strong Foundation, like the initiative, believes that the US-China strategic relationship is our most consequential and that study abroad is central to building our bilateral ties.
Clearly, Secretary Clinton wants to ensure that even as she exits State, one of the programs she holds most dear will live on and grow. We are so happy to have her on board and so happy you’ve asked to be kept informed about developments with the 100,000 Strong Foundation. We are sure to have many more exciting events to tell you about in the weeks ahead.
For now, you can find more information about the foundation, today’s launch and future developments on our new website at 100kstrong.org.
Thanks for your support,
